End of life and Up Cycling

When your foil is broken or damaged, we are committed to recovering your parts and doing everything we can to repair or refurbish them.

Since 2018, we have been recovering your foils and refurbishing them in a new range, ‘reconditioned foils’.

Sustainability and restoration

All the foils we produce are made of composite. This material has the advantage of being easy to repair and very resistant to the marine environment. On the other hand, this material emits CO2.

Aluminium parts, on the other hand, are easy to recycle but have a short life in a salty environment. They will therefore have to be changed more often, which will have a greater impact on the environment in the medium term.

Our parts are easy to refurbish. We can restore your foils even after 10 years of use.

Materials and CO2 emissions

We are constantly on the technological lookout to choose the most responsible materials of the moment in order to limit our carbon footprint during the manufacture of our composite parts. For our epoxy resins, we use L’INFUGREEN, made up in part of epoxy derived from the processing of green waste. For our core materials, we have replaced our PVC with recyclable PET.

Managing our fabric waste

When we cut our fibres, such as carbon or glass, we optimise our layouts, sort and save our offcuts so that we can give them back to companies capable of recycling them.

A long life

Since the company’s inception, we have always strived for the longest product life. We are always ready to listen to our customers’ advice and we can modify our production at any time to respond to any problems you may encounter. Even on an ENVOL, our first model, you can fit the latest wings from our ranges.

Travel-related emissions

On a daily basis, the LOKEFOIL team prefers to travel by bicycle. We have chosen to have our production close to where we live in order to adopt soft mobility and a better quality of life.
